Psychotherapy for Seasonal Transitions
Seasonal depression and anxiety is a pretty common attribute amongst patients. There are so many personal and professional demands as the year progresses that we often fail to do a mental checkup as we progress through the seasons. In this video, I discuss how therapy and treatment can help create more positive environments for you and your family as the season’s change.
Some of the most common symptoms include:
Depression: misery, guilt, loss of self-esteem, hopelessness, diminished interest in activities, despair, and apathy
Anxiety: tension and inability to tolerate stress
Mood changes: extremes of mood and, in some, periods of mania in spring and summer
Sleep problems: desire to oversleep and difficulty staying awake or, sometimes, disturbed sleep and early morning waking
Lethargy: a feeling of fatigue and inability to carry out normal routine
If you find yourself experiencing any of these symptoms, we can help.
